In 2001 following a life of street influence, lockups, and a shunt in the Military (Where the Name was founded), W.Bassford aka W Beezy registered the name Illyricum and had been recording and learning production working with neighbors in a new project neighborhood in Des Moines, Iowa named Deer Ridge. Oddly the name NineXRuff was coined as He became known as Nine, having lived in the same number apartment, and a ruff sound in production. Mentions of MookG, Squirrrl, LordLife55, YellaBoi, and more come up when conversation arises of those times.

Modern Day Illyricum Entertainment LLC is an Industry Leader having Sponsored students, non-profit music coalitions (DesMoinesMC.com), and the Founder and CEO even having held a seat as a Music Commissioner for the City of Des Moines.

Illyricum Entertainment LLC started in an apartment living room and grew through basements to barbershops on Des Moines 21st Street, to Luxury Houses, even leased space in a skyscraper known as "Hub Tower" for a recording studio, but CEO-NineXRuff is known for recording the old fashioned way in hotel rooms of 4 and 5 Star hotels or even a super 8.

Recently Illyricum Entertainment LLC Teamed up With 515 Studio Lodge to open a production center and home base for artists to record in the midwest, and will be working with other producers, artists, and studios nationwide.
